W/C Description Code Maintenance
This option is used to initially enter data into the DESCRIPTION CODE file, add new codes, or make changes as necessary to Master information currently existing in the file.
After selecting this option from the W/C Master File Maintenance Menu, the W/C Description Code Maintenance program will be displayed as follows:
To view or change an existing record's information, enter the Code of the record you wish to change, or Perform A Search to find a record. Upon entering a valid number, the computer will display the master information stored for this code.
Enter the remaining information on this screen as follows:
Enter the Description of this code.
Enter the Product to be used for billing (or Perform A Search to find one). The description will be displayed for verification.
If this is to be non-metered:
Enter the monthly charge in the Minimum Charge field and leave the remaining fields blank and/or zero.
If this is to be metered:
If there is a Minimum Charge, enter it here.
Enter the Units For Charge. For example: 10 or 100. If a portion of this unit is achieved, the bill will be based upon rounding usage up to this unit.
Check the Metered box.
Enter the unit Amount and Rate for each level of metered usage.
Review the data you have entered (or changed) on the screen. If you wish to SAVE the information, click on the Save button on the Toolbar, pick the Save option from the File Menu, or press [Ctrl][S]. If you do NOT wish to save the information, click on the Cancel button on the toolbar, pick the Cancel option from the File Menu, or press [Ctrl][L].
